MP Mohamed Abdelalem Daoud called for the release of hundreds of victims of unlawful migration who are being held in detention despite being released by the Public Prosecution during his speech at the House of Representatives’ plenary session on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe must ask ourselves who and what drove young people to risk death, young people who go down to the sea where the survival rate is not more than 10%, which means a 90% chance of death<\/em>\u201d the MP stated.<\/p>\n Addressing the Speaker of Parliament, the MP continued \u201cGo back to the area where the boats go out, which I have during my constituency, where the boats pass; and the gangs and people there are victims who were released by the Public Prosecution and are still in prison until now, by the hundreds, despite the Public Prosecution’s release of the victims<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut gangs operate because they have the opportunity to operate<\/em>,\u201d Dawoud told the speaker, \u201cAnd I witnessed corruption around these areas. In his speech, Dawoud singled out his constituents from Burj Mighayzil of Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate and Green Island, while stating: \u201cRelease the detainees who were victimized by the locals and residents of the region.
